Dr. Amasi has over 21 years experience in commercial banking Mr. Amasi out of which over 8 years was spent in Executive Management. 

Dr. Amasi’s core area of competence includes Banking operations, Treasury operations, Mortgage Banking, Commercial and Consumer banking as well as public sector Marketing/Corporate Finance. Dr. Amasi has worked in several banks including Diamond Bank Ltd, United Bank for Africa Plc and Societe General Bank Nigeria Ltd where he was an Executive Director. 

Dr. Amasi is a Registered Marketer a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Marketing, a Fellow of Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria and the Institute of Directors as well as Chairman of many companies including Procom Dynamics Ltd., Satellite Wireless Networking Nig. Ltd and TKM Meastro Ltd, Kenya. He has served on the board of several companies including De-Petraco Leasing Ltd., First Assurance Plc, Dowell Engineering & Construction Ltd and he is presently a member of the Governing Board of the Institute of Management & Finance.

Dr. Amasi was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award by the University of Uyo. He has served in various capacities in the Public service and is a member of Nigerian Economic Summit Group and was on the board of Abuja Investment Company (the Investment arm of the Federal Capital territory). 

Dr. Amasi was awarded the chieftaincy Title of Iberedem Uyo (i.e. Pillar of Uyo) by the Paramount Ruler of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State for his outstanding achievements and contributions to Akwa Ibom State. 

Mr. Amasi holds a Doctorate degree in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom and he is happily married to Mbuotidem and has two sons.
